"You're a hero in our book"
Melanie Michaels - CBS News Tampa
“I’ve lost my home, my business, everything.
But, my family all survived.
I have faith in God. So I ask God, now what will I do?
Typhoon Haiyan Survivor

This is one of the first images I saw just days after the storm hit. Supplies and troops were just starting to arrive. They then filled the C-130 Cargo Planes with people to fly them to Cebu or Manila.

After finding my wife's family alive, we took this shot. Shortly after, I found out they're Aunt, Uncle, and cousin's wife and two children all died when they're house was washed away.

I collected left over Halloween candy and took it with me to give to the kids after one of them commented on TV that they didn't have candy. They smiled so big.

I was filming in the market area and this kid was big eyed, looking at my camera. So, I let him play with the controls. What a smile!

I wasn't able to get a flight until Monday. I had to get creative and go to Cebu for 7 hrs, until I could fly to Tacloban.
